E. Graydon Carter: King Of All Media
Vanity Fair editor E. Graydon Carter has long been a big wheel in the world of celebrity "journalism." But last week, he extended his reach as a celebrity in his own right: Carter made his screen debut with a minuscule role in the new Alfie remake. And...well, Graydon's caught the bug. Alfie is the first prong of Carter's assault on other media; he's got plenty of plans as to what else he intends to do -- and indeed is, as a famous person, entitled to do:
Guest-star as a judge on Law & Order
Publish a book of his candid photography
Appear in an Old Navy ad
Create a signature line of men's grooming products, under the brand name "Grayscale"
Enter celebrity golf tournament in a foursome with Kevin James, Rick Springfield, and Danny Gans
Have a sandwich named after him at the Stage Deli
Guest-host The Late, Late Show
Play the fourth lead in a Vin Diesel movie
Kabbalah
Get engaged to Jennifer Grey
Open a restaurant, "Applecarter's," in Santa Monica
Play Donna's new boss on That '70s Show
Sixth Queer Eye guy
Spark rumours that he may be manorexic
Design a custom interior, known as the "G Series," for a limited line of Escalades
Father a child and name it "Barium"
Sing the hook on the next P. Diddy single
